How community-supported healthcare models work

Healthcare has traditionally been tied to insurance, employer benefits, and profit-driven systems.

At The Iris Center, we believe in something different.

Our community-supported model is based on solidarity, not transactions.

Instead of billing insurance companies and chasing reimbursements, we are funded by people—beneficiaries—who believe everyone deserves care.

Community beneficiaries pledge to support The Iris Center by donating annually. Their commitment helps fund clinic operations, pay providers fairly, and reserve appointment slots for those who could not otherwise afford care.

Because of this model, we can keep our visit costs low, our wait times short, and our focus where it belongs: on the people we serve.

It is not charity. It is not membership. It is community care—made real by people who choose to believe in a better way.
