Our foundation

Care that centers the whole person.

Care at The Iris Center is designed to feel steady and personal.

Visits allow time for conversation, reflection, and follow-up, rather than rushing through concerns. Patients are met with respect across identities, bodies, and lived experiences. Decisions are made together, with attention to the whole person and space for trust to build.

Our non-profit funding model

Community Sustained Care

The Iris Center does not bill insurance for office visits. This choice allows the clinic to remain independent and centered on patients rather than claims, quotas, or volume.

Community Sustained Care is how that choice is made possible. Support from the community helps fund the clinic itself, including providers, staff, and the time required for visits that are unhurried and ongoing, with clear, reasonable cost.

Support radically human healthcare

The Iris Center exists as a nonprofit primary care clinic because healthcare should be an act of care, not a profit-driven transaction. It was created to step outside of systems that prioritize revenue over people and instead serve the community it belongs to.

Care at The Iris Center is rooted in human values. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not add-ons or ideals; they are the foundation. Everyone deserves access to high-quality, affirming care, with or without insurance.

This work is only possible through community support. The doors stay open because people choose to invest in a clinic built to care for the community, not extract from it.
