Community-sustained, inclusive healthcare.
The Iris Center is a nonprofit primary care clinic in Fort Collins, CO offering compassionate, high-quality, affirming healthcare that honors the whole person.
Our foundation
Care that centers the whole person.
Care at The Iris Center is designed to feel steady and personal.
Visits allow time for conversation, reflection, and follow-up, rather than rushing through concerns. Patients are met with respect across identities, bodies, and lived experiences. Decisions are made together, with attention to the whole person and space for trust to build.
Our non-profit funding model
Community Sustained Care
The Iris Center does not bill insurance for office visits. This choice allows the clinic to remain independent and centered on patients rather than claims, quotas, or volume.
Community Sustained Care is how that choice is made possible. Donations from individuals and groups within the community — whether large or small, one-time or ongoing — help fund the clinic, providers, staff, and the time required for care that is thoughtful, unhurried, and continuous, with clear and reasonable costs.
Help make radically human healthcare with us
The Iris Center exists as a nonprofit primary care clinic because healthcare should be an act of care, not a profit-driven transaction. It was created to step outside of systems that prioritize revenue over people and instead serve the community it belongs to.
Care at The Iris Center is rooted in human values. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not add-ons or ideals; they are the foundation. Everyone deserves access to high-quality, affirming care, with or without insurance.
When you choose to donate, you invest in a clinic built by the community, for the community — ensuring you and your neighbors continue to receive compassionate, accessible care when they need it most.
