Radically human healthcare, built for our community

The Iris Center exists because healthcare should feel accessible, affirming, and safe.

Our foundation

We believe healthcare can work differently.

Our Vision

A world where every person has agency over their whole health.

Our Mission

The Iris Project unites people with resources and peers, to improve physical, mental, and environmental wellbeing to live healthy lives.

Empty turquoise metal chairs and tables are set along a sidewalk in front of a garden bed filled with colorful flowers and trees, with a sculpture of a dog made from metal parts displayed among the plants, and buildings with storefronts in the background.

This work is sustained by the community it serves.

Through Community Sustained Care, our providers and staff are able to spend the time patients truly need while keeping care predictable and reasonably priced. Support in any amount helps sustain this model of compassionate, community-centered care. But above all else, care is always available — whether or not a donation is made.

The values that guide our care

  • Healthcare should be a safe space for every identity, every body, every story.

  • Pricing is clear. Expectations are shared. Nothing is hidden.

  • Care decisions are guided by patient needs, not insurance requirements or corporate priorities.

  • Patients are met with presence, respect, and care for the whole person.

  • Knowledge supports confidence. Dignity is never conditional.

This is the beginning of something different.

For patients. For providers. For anyone who believes healthcare can be built with real care at its center.
